Job description

The Role :

We are seeking and experienced technology leaders to serve as an Executive Counselor to their peers in the Canadian Public Sector. You’ll be joining a diverse team of IT leaders from across Canada who advise, guide and provide insights to public sector IT Leaders. Our mission is to advise executives and their teams to accelerate technology delivery to the exponential pace of change, systematically improve IT practitioners, processes, and tools, and develop adaptive IT leadership skills. IT leaders depend on us to guide them on how to make betters decisions, mitigate risks, and address the struggles and challenges they face on the path to personal and professional excellence.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide Executive Services exclusively to 20 clients within any 12-month period of time.
  • Participate in unstructured value-based client conversations and create new methods for a client’s personal success
  • Develop robust plans that tie our member’s goals and key initiatives to Info-Tech’s research and services and clearly spell out the key results that they receive from our support.
  • Provide confidential and professional advising to our members in-person, telephonically, as well as digitally through Video Conferencing
  • Embrace Info-Tech Research Group culture of continuous learning by participating in on-going self and industry development activities;
  • Provide proactive thought leadership and new ideas not “asked for” on behalf of the client’s membership
  • Participate in regular communication / support / education and participation with Sales Leadership and Account Directors to account planning and support efforts
  • Leverage ITRG and 3rd party assets to deliver on promises within the memberships
  • Diagnose member value expectations pain points and connect them with appropriate Info-Tech Research Group product solutions
  • Provide statistical and summary reports that reflect the elements of service KPI’s, continuous improvement, and promotion of strategic and operational goals and objectives.

Experience :

  • Possess a minimum of 20 years of professional IT experiences at multiple enterprises in the Canadian Public Sector; including CIO and leadership positions within additional business environments (Administration, IT, Finance, Digital Services, etc...)
  • Leadership experience on one or more of the following transformational programs such as digital transformation, AI, Product, Agile, DevOps, Application Portfolio modernization, or IT reorganization.
  • Solid people relationship management skills; operational and systems development skills and experience in RFP or proposal writing, financial budgeting, management and reporting
  • In depth understanding of various Canadian Public Sector executive management roles, politics, human behavior and predictive scenarios related to IT leadership
  • Ability to coordinate complex IT service delivery models and respond to diverse needs of a variety of key-stakeholders
  • Experience coaching and mentoring developing leaders
  • Exceptional customer service focus, high professionalism and adherence to ethical principles of conduct
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, self-starter
  • Ability to adhere to members and Info-Tech Research Group core value as a trusted executive
  • Strong verbal, written, facilitation and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel approx. 50% of the time, as needed.
  • Experience in Western Canada (especially Alberta and BC) is desirable
