We will walk you through the ins and outs of running a business, using accounting services and platforms, and more.
Internship Length : 4 months (this can be adjusted based on your program needs)
Wage : $15-16 an hour
Location : Hybrid (Northeast Calgary office and remote, as circumstances allow)
Responsibilities :
- Assist in organizing and inputting financial data into QuickBooks, including expenses, revenues, and other transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and consistency in financial records.
- Support in preparing and maintaining financial reports, such as profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Assist with budget tracking and expense categorization.
- Participate in end-of-month and end-of-year financial closing processes.
- Processing invoices, payments, and receipts.
Qualifications :
Must be either;
o Currently enrolled in a full time, degree seeking program with a focus in a finance, accounting or related field, in your 4th year,
o Or have recently graduated in an accounting or related field.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
- Highly motivated and dependable
- Ability to set priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
