Summary of main functions
- Coordinate and manage the receiving, shipping, handling of all materials and finished products from the plant.
- Optimize the use of warehouse space and ensure that merchandise is handled properly and safely
- Coordinate and monitor the movement of products and ensure that products are shipped and received on time.
- Participation in daily transition meetings to receive and give reports on the achievement of various objectives, problems encountered, current and future action plans and future operations.
- Follow ups up on the drivers of transport partner and approve their timesheets.
What you bring to the table
- 1-3 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge and experience in manufacturing.
- Good knowledge of logistics and transportation techniques as well as laws, rules and regulations governing the industry.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent deductive and inductive reasoning.
- Experience with an ERP system (SAP is preferred).
- Experience with MS Office.
- Forklift licence or willing to learn how to drive a forklift.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs on occasion.
- Strong Attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills.
- Strong sense of responsibility.
- Experience in a similar role.
