WORK YOU'LL DO
As Technical Product Owner , you will be responsible for-
- Collaborating with Portfolio & Product Leaders to sequence & maintain a healthy product backlog of features & user stories.
- Technical Execution Lead and accountable decision maker on product features and backlog management.
- Seeks out various constraints, market rhythms, company events, etc. as inputs to sequencing into the architecture runway.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches and drive business growth.
- Author and refine user stories for the features, writing Gherkin format acceptance criteria and as per DoR.
- Lead and incorporate feedback in user stories refinement for all platforms included in the cross functional product team.
- Drives refinement sessions to ensure user stories are written, planned, and built.
- Collaboratively creating the Definition of Done and Definition of Ready with the team members
- Fosters built-in quality by including NFRs and defining good acceptance criteria on user stories.
- Ensuring backlog readiness and prioritization.
- Incorporate the feedback provided by the Product manager and team on the user stories.
- Work with developers and engineers and make sure the low-level design meets the business and technical requirements.
- Review and validate (review test plans, test cases, results) the software developed for the user stories to ensure they meet DoD.
- Proactively identify risks and mitigation plans and communicate to stakeholders.
- Review the swaggers and LLDs are complete and perform data mapping.
- Maintain sequence of work in progress to continue toward delivery of MVPs.
- Coordinate and Manage dependencies.
- Identifies and solves the top problems and ensures the final product meets the business need, delivers maximum value and delights users.
- Facilitates trade-off decisions, when needed, by balancing business needs, customer experience and technical feasibility
- Takes responsibility and accountability for the product from conception to execution to delivery and maintenance.
- Navigates organizational landscape and effectively manages stakeholder relationship to achieve a desired outcome.
- Works with stakeholders to create, maintain and prioritize product and iteration backlogs for maximum efficiency.
- Focuses on outcomes and not on role titles and recognizes that every organization will have different role definitions and expectations.
- Enables constant feedback loop to maximize the benefit of the customer and stakeholder feedback by synthesizing it and integrating it in the product roadmap.
- Facilitates meetings for team cadence, cross platform coordination, discovery and framing, stakeholder governance etc.
- Pairs with client product owners and other partners to coach them on lean product development.
- Guides the team to self-organize and empowers them to voice opinions and make decisions.
- Supports the team by working towards removing obstacles and distractions.

Basic Qualifications :
- Minimum of 5 years of exposure to delivering Product Roadmap in an Agile environment
- Minimum of 5 years of product management or Agile delivery experience.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 10 years) work experience. (If Associate Degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience)
English is required for this position as this role will regularly interact with English-speaking stakeholders across Canada.
Due to the significant high volume of interactions with these English-speaking stakeholders, which is inherent to this position, it is not possible to reorganize the company's activities to avoid this requirement.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience in Scrum, Lean, Kanban, JIRA
- Certification in Agile (CSM, CSPO, SA, SPC, etc)
- Exposure to software development and / or cloud modernization
Professional Requirements :
- Strong organizational skills to plan, organize and schedule resources.
- Experience with technical concepts and working with development team as needed.
- Good understanding of APIs, Swaggers, ETL processes, PowerBI reports.
- Good knowledge of SQL, Sequence Diagrams, Databases.
