The successful candidate will perform the following :
- GMAW welding process of production products.
- Diligent in following sequential steps of setting up a job using a blueprint, tack welding, dimensional verification, welding, and inspection using part fixtures and various product aides.
- Housekeeping and 5S duties on a daily basis.
- Packaging, tagging and labeling along with other manufacturing duties as required.
- This position will require operation of a jib crane (in-house training provided).
Qualifications :
- A minimum 1 year previous experience as a welder, current CWB ticket an asset but not required.
- An ability to competently read welding blueprints, use Vernier calipers, and weld size gauges.
- Basic math skills are required.
- Must have high attention to detail, able to follow written and verbal instruction, and work within a communicated timeline.
- Ability to work both independently, and as a team player.
- Good physical capability, and a can do attitude is a definite asset.
- Must be able to show proof of Grade 12 diploma if requested.
Requirements :
- Proof of Secondary School Diploma if requested.
- Clean shaven if required.
