Job descriptionCompletion of post-secondary education in related field - Building / Construction Technology, or a construction-related discipline; Experience with field or lab testing of window and railing systems would be considered an asset; Health & Safety training requirements in construction projects would be considered an asset; Strong verbal & written communication and interpersonal skills; Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills; Possession of a valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle with valid registration and insurance is required as the position requires field work; Must be able to lift / move heavy equipment; Ability to work independently without supervision.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a member of our team, your duties will include, but are not limited to :
- Coordinate and perform on site window, guard rail systems and membrane testing for new construction and existing buildings;
- Review and stay up to with testing standards and procedures;
- Provide assistance to the team in preparation of test reports;
- Maintain records of testing equipment inventory, coordinate scheduled maintenance and calibration as required;
- Report daily update on the ongoing testing schedule for all projects;
- Gather, analyze and report meaningful performance data for various investigations;
- Drive to various site locations with own or company vehicle;
- Actively participate and support continuous improvement initiatives;
- Assist the concrete lab with reporting or supplemental site testing and reviews as may be required.
