IT Operations Specialist Lead & Execute
Our client, a global leader in AI-driven control systems, is seeking an IT Operations Specialist who excels in both leading a team and executing hands-on technical work.
Reporting to the Director of IT, you'll guide and support our Enterprise IT team while taking ownership of projects and contributing directly to our IT infrastructure.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dual leadership and technical capacity.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead by Doing : Take charge of IT operations by providing hands-on support while mentoring and leading the IT team. You'll be directly involved in executing technical tasks alongside your team.
- Project Leadership : Oversee and actively participate in IT projects, ensuring high-quality, timely delivery. You'll manage resources, set priorities, and ensure alignment with company goals.
- Team Mentorship : Develop and coach team members, fostering a culture of accountability, skill development, and high-performance project execution.
- Strategic Impact : Partner with the Director of IT to align IT strategies with business objectives, helping drive the ongoing growth and innovation of our AI-driven technology.
Your Skills & Experience
Leadership Traits :
- Proven experience in leading IT teams while actively contributing to daily operations.
- 10+ years of hands-on IT experience, demonstrating progressive leadership responsibilities.
- Problem-solver who thrives on overcoming challenges and improving processes.
- A strong sense of ownership, capable of balancing leadership responsibilities with technical contributions.
- Ability to foster a collaborative and accountability-driven team culture.
Technical Traits :
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ITILv4, SAFe, Scrum Master)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong technical expertise in enterprise tools (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS) and IT systems (Windows, MacOS, Linux).
- Project management proficiency with Agile and Scrum methodologies, capable of balancing leadership with hands-on work.
- Experience in networking ecosystems (VLAN, BGP, SD-WAN, EVPN, VXLAN) and scaling PKI infrastructure.
- Familiarity with DevOps / DevSecOps tools (Ansible, Gitlab, Azure DevOps) and methodologies.
- Proven ability to manage distributed systems and ensure parity between on-premise and cloud infrastructure.
Compensation :
