Job Summary
SS Metrology Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Application Specialist to join our dynamic team.
In this role, you will work closely with clients to deliver exceptional precision measurement solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of 3D and 2D CAD systems and a keen interest in learning advanced 3D laser scanning and point cloud software.
They will be responsible for conducting on-site measurements, often involving physical tasks, and will need to perform well under pressure while interacting directly with customers.
This position requires a willingness to travel and a knowledge of quality control principles, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform onsite demonstrations and 3D dimensional inspections using advanced metrology equipment.
- Operate 3D laser scanners and CAD-based software for data analysis, quality control, and reporting.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical challenges that arise during the measurement process.
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams to ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest metrology techniques and technologies.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficiency in 3D and 2D CAD systems (AutoCAD, SolidWorks and / or Inventor)
- Knowledge of PolyWorks and / or Geomagic Software
- Basic knowledge of quality control principles, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Strong interest in learning 3D laser scanning and point cloud software.
- Physical capability to perform tasks on-site, including some lifting and manual work.
- Willingness to travel for client engagements.
- Active drivers license and own vehicle required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (French or Spanish is a plus).
- Technical diploma or degree in a related field (mechanical engineering,civil engineering, structural engineering or manufacturing engineering)

Work Environment

Location
- This position is based in Ontario, with travel to various customer sites across Canada.
