It is within this context that the College is seeking its next Vice President, Student Services.
Reporting to the President and Chief Executive Officer (President), the Vice President, Student Services (Vice President) provides strategic oversight for the Student Services portfolio and leads a team of 300 full and part-time employees.
These employees serve a diverse student population of over 21,000 full-time and nearly 9,000 part-time registrants. As a key member of the executive team, the Vice President actively collaborates with the President and senior management in providing college-wide leadership, strategic planning, and administrative decision-making.
The College operates as a learner-driven organization and the Vice President plays an important role in supporting this strategy by leading a wide breadth of services, including academic support, career and employment, orientation, mental health and wellness, accessibility, physical health and wellness, and student experience.
Additionally, the Vice President also leads a group focused on the needs of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis learners as well as leading the Office of the Ombudsman.
The Vice President also assists the President in advising the Board of Governors on corporate issues related to Student Services and represents the College externally on various committees, acting as a liaison with the Ministry of Colleges and Universities and other post-secondary institutions.
Additionally, the Vice President is responsible for College Marketing and Student Recruitment, ensuring that enrollment and retention targets are achieved.
They also lead the Office of Indigenous Initiatives, providing vision and leadership for Indigenization at the College. Finally, the Vice President serves as the senior management liaison with a large and dynamic Students’ Association.
As a well-qualified candidate, you possess proven experience in leadership and management of multi-faceted, multi-functional services within a post-secondary environment.
You are an inclusive people leader with experience in unionized environments. Dynamic communication skills, excellent facilitation, and presentation abilities enable you to build consensus and influence decision-making.
You are a creative problem solver with sound professional judgment, utilizing technology to enhance efficiency and achieve strategic objectives.
Comfortable overseeing large budgets, formulating vision, and nurturing partnerships, you have a thorough understanding of strategic enrollment strategies with a successful track record in this area.
Furthermore, you demonstrate knowledge about Indigenous cultures, communities, and organizations, with a committed stance toward supporting Indigenization initiatives.
You are passionate about and experienced with contributing to the leadership of inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility initiatives.
You possess robust knowledge of leading successful client centered service teams. Finally, you possess a Master’s degree or an equivalent qualification in a related area.

The salary range for this role is $164,375 to $219,167, with a targeted hiring range determined based upon experience.
