Overview
Join an enterprise initiative to implement a scalable desktop service model that enhances service delivery and user experience through a digital workspace toolkit tailored to user personas. The project will standardize desktop engineering, IT asset management, and support services across departments, introducing self‑service and automation powered by AI productivity tools.
Scope & Objectives
- Develop an Enterprise Desktop Service (EDS) model for the client.
- Implement persona‑based toolkits ensuring security, accessibility, and compliance.
- Enhance IT support with automation and AI tools.
- Deliver a comprehensive support model for asset management and agile procurement.
Technical Requirements
Configure the BMC Helix ITSM tool and support the creation of a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) for the EDS platform, including :
End‑user portalIncident managementRequest managementKnowledge managementAsset managementResponsibilities
Assist in configuring BMC Helix ITSM modules.Support iterative, Agile development for onboarding initial partners.Collaborate on architecture and implementation of Phase 1 (Phase 2 tasks will follow).Install and configure TSO and Dev Studio in up to three environments, including necessary adapters and modules.Assist with integrations and AD Group configuration to provide Grid permissions.Develop simple test workflows to verify integration between TSO Grid, BMC Helix ITSM, and client network AD.Document installation and configuration steps and provide an operational guide.Provide product subject matter expertise.Assist end‑users with troubleshooting, knowledge transfer, and reporting to management.Verify system requirements specifications fit the client’s technical environment from business requirements.Propose configuration options and recommendations based on solution and business constraints.Participate in Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions.Develop, document, test, and report on test strategies, plans, cases, and expected results for UAT.Qualifications
10+ years as a Systems Analyst.3+ years and 2+ projects as an architect supporting BMC Helix implementations.1+ year experience in integrating ITSM tools (BMC) with other applications or systems, supporting an ITSM tool implementation or upgrade project, and supporting specific components or modules of an ITSM tool or ITIL processes.10+ years of combined experience in building, installing, configuring, and administering WebSphere MQ products; installing, configuring, and troubleshooting major operating systems in a Microsoft Active Directory environment; deploying .NET applications.5+ years supporting the Provincial or Federal Government of Canada.Enhanced Reliability Security Clearance.Experience Level
