Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent field, or commensurate work experience and knowledge
- Experience in the Software design / architecture process
- Experience developing web, software, or mobile applications
- Heavier focus on Front End Experience (React, Javascript)
- Back End Experience (,
- Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment, Kubernetes
- Strong experience with HTML and CSS
- Experience with the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Experience with web services (consuming or creating) with REST or SOAP
- Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong understanding of the Software design / architecture process
- Experience with unit testing & Test Driven Development (TDD)
Preferred Experience :
- Experience developing, maintaining, and innovating large scale, consumer facing web or mobile applications
- Experience with AWS Lightsail, Akamai
- Familiar with the development challenges inherent with highly scalable and available web applications
- Always Be Learning : Experience with open source technologies (if no practical work experience w / Big Data, or cutting edge front-end technology you’re prototyping and / or researching the up and coming technology and solutions
Responsibilities
- You take pride in creating Front End magic
- Build the effective internal and external relationships that are essential to delivering awesome software
- Deep customer empathy and ability to quickly translate insights into mockups, wireframes, and working proof-of-concept code
- Leading the gathering of functional requirements, developing technical specifications, and project & test planning
- Acting as the technical subject matter expert : Mentoring fellow engineers, demonstrating technical expertise, and leading a small team solving challenging programming and design problems
- Roughly 80-100% hands-on coding
- Generate technical documentation and PowerPoint presentations to communicate architectural and design options, and educate development teams and business users
- Experience with Agile Development, SCRUM, or Extreme Programming methodologies
