The Amazon Freight Partner (AFP) Technology Team develops and operates the applications of the Middle Mile transportation network for Amazon, ensuring that the customer orders, no matter how large or small, are delivered as quickly, accurately, and cost effectively as possible.

To meet this goal, AFP is continually striving to innovate and provide best in class experience through the introduction of new products and services in the middle mile space.

The AFP Technology Team is looking for a detail-oriented, analytical, innovative, hands-on, and customer-obsessed Software Development Engineer.

In this role, you will develop and operate services that drive the partner growth for our Linehaul Carriers to support the Amazon's Middle Mile Transportation network.

As a Software Development Engineer on the team, you will design, build and operate a new web services at scale, interfacing with teams ranging from the front-end to the back-end, and delivering the plumbing in-between.

Surrounded by world-class technical talent, and building on a pure AWS infrastructure, you will translate customer requirements, drive an evolving architecture, help define our roadmap, and individually contribute code.

Vancouver, BC, CAN

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
