GFL Environmental is looking for a Landfill - Equipment Operator to join ourteam in Swift Current, Saskatchewan! This is a part time position.
As a Landfill Operator, you'll be responsible for keeping the landfill organized and safe for the environment. You'll use bulldozers, front-end loaders, and other heavy equipment to compact waste and cover it with dirt.

Responsibilities :
- Manage the tipping area so litter doesn't blow away.
- Check compost areas, set up bait stations, and fill out reports about water on-site.
- Pick up any loose trash to keep the landfill looking good.
- Work with experts to make sure the waste is filled to grade.
- Inspect and maintain the bulldozers and other equipment, including adding fluids and greasing parts.
- Clean trash off the machines' tracks to make sure they run smoothly.
- Attend meetings to learn about safety procedures and other important information.
Qualifications :
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Problem-solving skills and common sense.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to read, speak, understand, and write English.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Valid driver's license.
Working Conditions :
- You'll be working outdoors in all types of weather.
- You'll be operating heavy equipment about half the time.
- The work environment can be noisy.
- You'll be working until 5 : 45 PM each day.
