Salary Range : $70,186.78 - $75,512.20

Location : Toronto, Yonge & Eglinton (3 days in office, hybrid)

The opportunity

Join TVO’s nimble and exciting Audience Development team, a collaborative and forward-thinking group who loves to try new things in digital marketing.

The Performance Marketing Specialist plays a key role in ensuring TVO’s journalism, kids programming, documentaries, educational resources, and more reach their audience.

With a mix of marketing through paid channels, including search, display, video, social, and others, and organic channels including TVO’s owned platforms, this position combines the technical and creative.

We are seeking a strong writer and analytical mind with big ideas who can plan, deploy, and evaluate marketing and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) initiatives to lead digital marketing planning, execution, and reporting across platforms to drive audience growth for TVO’s portfolio of products.

How you will make an impact

Support the Audience Development manager in the development and implementation of customized cross-channel marketing strategies across SEO / SEM / display and other platforms (e.

g. demand-side platforms) that optimize marketing funnels and attract, engage, and retain visitors, users, and donors to TVO and the TVO portfolio of products.

  • Create and publish written and visual content to support marketing initiatives, with a goal of building audiences, engagement, and driving conversions.
  • Effectively forecast performance and contribute to setting growth goals.
  • Provide SEO thought leadership internally with your internal clients.
  • Track progress against goals in weekly reports, highlighting various metrics linked to growth of audience, engagement, conversions, attribution, and communicate results to internal stakeholders.
  • Leverage data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions within digital marketing initiatives, expanding TVO's analysis and comprehension of user behavior.

Use this understanding to optimize conversion rates, cultivating a larger audience base and donor network.

Contribute positively to the growth of the knowledge base within the Marketing, Impact, and larger TVO teams.

What you will bring to TVO

  • 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, including SEO, SEM, and display, or related fields, including a proven track record in delivering audience growth and managing multiple products and campaigns simultaneously.
  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience with DSPs such as Display & Video 360, theTradeDesk, AppNexus, Adobe Advertising Cloud, and Amazon Ads would be an asset.
  • Strong experience working in cross-functional teams and designing and managing projects to completion.
  • Working familiarity with Google Ads , Google Analytics , BigQuery, Looker Studio, and Meta Business Suite . YouTube Analytics is also nice to have.
  • Search-related site optimization techniques.
  • A data-driven approach with a willingness to experiment and adapt to fast-paced environments.
  • Demonstrated bias toward action with a positive energy and can-do attitude.
  • Proven ability to build relationships to achieve results.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
