Sr Test Engineer
The individual chosen for this position will be a member of an engineering team responsible for testing RF Devices in a Laboratory. This individual will be executing RF test plans to prove device performance. The engineer will process data and prepare test reports. She/He will troubleshoot and run setup validation tests to guarantee Accuracy and Repeatability. The successful candidate will be an effective problem solver and a proactive process owner.
Responsibilities
Support in characterization of device performance.
Analyze test data and prepare report.
Lead and/or participate in cross-functional teams to support engineering test projects.
Develop new techniques to streamline test process.
Develop Test Data Processing Scripts.
Validate Setups by Comparing setup performance to a standard.
Troubleshoot RF Test setups to keep the Production Flowing.
Create and Adhere to schedules
Required Experience and Skills
Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years of experience in RF component testing
5+ years of experience in high-performance mixed-signal IC lab characterization and testing
Familiar with common programming languages such as LabView and python, and experience with databases such as SQL and MySQL
Proficient with test equipment including RF sources, pulse generators, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, vector network analyzers, power meters, power supplies, and digital multi-meters
Knowledgeable in RF Test. Testing includes s-parameters, noise figure, power, pulsed power, TOI, DEVM and harmonics to mention some.
Knowledgeable in GPIB, IEEE 488.2, serial communications
In depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills
Operate independently with minimal supervision
The typical base pay range for this role is currently CAD $81,200 - $138,700 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, and the ultimate job duties and requirements. Benefits include access to healthcare, a retirement plan company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off, among others. Employees are eligible to participate in an incentive plan, and certain roles are also eligible for additional awards, including recognition and stock. These incentives and awards are based on individual and/or company performance.
