Accounts Payable Clerk

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team on a long-term contract basis in Ottawa, Ontario. In this role, you will handle a full cycle of accounts payable activities while ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational standards. If you are bilingual and have a strong background in financial processes, this position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute your expertise.Responsibilities:- Review, verify, and classify invoices to ensure accuracy and proper documentation.- Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all accounts payable transactions.- Process payments in a timely manner, including checks and electronic transfers.- Reconcile accounts to ensure all discrepancies are addressed promptly.- Input invoice data into relevant systems with precision and attention to detail.- Collaborate with other departments to resolve payment or invoice-related inquiries.- Utilize accounting software tools like Microsoft Dynamics and QuickBooks to streamline processes.- Assist in generating reports and analytics using Power BI, when applicable.- Monitor compliance with financial policies and procedures.- Support month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a related financial role.- Proficiency in accounting software such as Microsoft Dynamics, QuickBooks, Oracle, SAP, and Microsoft Excel.- Strong bilingual communication skills (English and French) are mandatory.- Demonstrated ability to process invoices and payments with a high level of accuracy.- Experience with data entry and coding invoices.- Familiarity with account reconciliation and check run processes.- Knowledge of Power BI is considered an asset.- Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities.If this position interests you and you meet the required qualifications, please do not hesitate and apply online today!
