About The Toronto Lawyers’ Association :
The TLA is a professional organization that represents the interests of lawyers practicing in the GTA. The TLA operates the Courthouse Library which is one of the largest private law library collections in Canada.
The Association supports its members through three pillars : Knowledge, Advocacy, and Community. The TLA provides its members with a range of benefits including opportunities to increase productivity, connecting with their professional community, and attending educational events.

The Marketing Coordinator is critically important to The Toronto Lawyers’ Association because they are responsible for creating relevant content across all digital and social media channels and growing our virtual presence.
We are looking for an innovative marketing professional to bring our organizational vision and priorities to life by enhancing TLA’s visibility in the Toronto legal world, and ultimately increasing our membership.
What you will be responsible for :
- Create, edit, and share engaging content (e.g. original text, photos, videos, and news) on social media
- Maintain and update website content
- Design, edit and revise flyers, special mailings and other marketing collateral ensuring brand consistency
- Gather and review data from various channels to monitor and report on the performance of marketing activities and suggest improvements
- Collaborate with Executive Director to develop a communications strategy
- Update TLA’s Marketing Plan
- Build and maintain relationships with the press
What makes you the ideal candidate?
- Excellent writing and editing skills, including strong proofreading / copy-editing ability
- Exceptional listening skills and oral communication skills
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and resourceful
- Deadline oriented ability to work within tight deadlines
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Canva, Mailchimp, Adobe Creative Cloud, WordPress and experience with an AMS), video editing software.
- Experienced in developing content and managing social media channels (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, X, , YouTube, Loomly, Meltwater) in a business / professional role
- Expertise with online monitoring and measurement platforms such as Google Analytics
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team, as well as independently

Required education and skills background :
- Post-secondary degree in Communications, Marketing, New Media, Journalism, Design, or a combination of related education and experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in communications / marketing in a digital capacity
- Preference for experience at a not for profit or an association
