- This position would be looking to an applicant who could fulfill the following qualifications :
- Lead internal preconstruction team to advance multiple projects through the design development phases of zoning, site plan approval, building permit and their related approvals
- Experience with and well versed in design development / preconstruction in the GTA
- Identify and pursue each project's needs, deliverables, and critical path in its best interest
- Solicit, engage, and lead a project's consultant team through the design development process
- Develop and maintain relationships with City Representatives in a project's best interest
- Develop and maintain relationships and understanding of Developer / Owner's objectives for their project
- Possess strong project management and communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels to achieve project milestones
- Able to prioritize, mitigate risk and maintain forward momentum
- Calm under pressure and possess understanding of the patterns and rhythms of the design development process with a know-how of when to escalate issues
- Working collaboratively with team members to engage potential clients
- Experience with purpose-built rental design development, Tarion / HCRA registration and / or project financing an asset

- 10+ years of professional work experience in real estate project planning and design with experience in a variety of residential or commercial projects.
- Strong English written and verbal communication skills in dealing with owner groups and consultants.
- Completion of an Undergraduate degree in urban planning, engineering, real estate, architecture, or a related field is an asset.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of an organization with multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrable experience with essential development contracts such as contracts for architectural services, engineering services, and general contracting services.
- Demonstrable experience with permitting agencies, either as an architect or owners' project manager.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Strong computer literacy and proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project
- Understanding of construction drawings and specifications is an asset.
