Position Description

Reporting directly to the Environmental Services Marketing Manager for Key Accounts and Sectors and with a strong alliance to the Environmental Services Strategic Pursuits Team and marketing teams throughout Stantec, the Manufacturing and Commercial Sector Marketing Lead provides marketing and business development support to the Manufacturing and Commercial Sector leadership team to meet annual growth goals.

Success is represented by the development of Stantec's relationships with key clients, winning work, while building of the reputation of the firm.

The role also includes working with a larger Stantec team of Marketing, Business Development, Public Relations, and Communications professionals to build our brand awareness and identify market opportunities for top line growth.

Your Opportunity

Stantec's Environmental Services Strategic Pursuits Team is seeking a senior-level marketing professional to support our Commercial and Manufacturing Sector in North America.

Our Sector Marketing Leads provide strategic support to leadership to drive growth through our Key Account Program, Strategic Growth Opportunities, and Strategic Pursuits.

This position requires a detail-oriented individual, with a background in marketing and / or communications - a team player who can organize and direct high performing marketing and pursuit teams, communicate effectively, manage multiple concurrent initiatives, and thrive in a deadline-driven environment.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare engaging promotional materials which highlight our depth of experience, expertise, and value propositions.
  • Support Account and Project Teams positioning and pursuing opportunities that are of strategic importance to the Sector, including coordinating our response to requests for qualifications and proposal and in some cases qualifications and proposal writing.
  • Support the development of winning presentations
  • Research and analysis of market trends and opportunities.
  • Support Annual Business Planning and Account Planning for the Sector.
  • Partner with Account Management teams to drive key client growth strategies.
  • Collaborate with our Environmental Services Strategic Pursuits and Marketing, Communications, and Public Relations teams on key pursuits, promotional activities, and positioning campaigns.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with your Commercial and Manufacturing and Environmental Services business leadership, practitioners, and marketing teams.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of marketing and business development best practices
  • Ability to create winning value propositions and key differentiators
  • A diligent and detail-oriented marketing professional with exceptional prioritization and organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with senior management, supervisors, peers, and clients, internally and externally
  • Ability to work effectively within a group as well as independently motivated with minimal supervision
  • Must thrive working in a deadline-driven environment
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite

Education and Experience

  • Post-secondary degree in business, marketing, communications, or an equivalent level of experience
  • Minimum of 7-8 years of experience in a marketing-related field
  • Experience with the RFQ / RFP process
  • Experience in the Environmental Consulting or Manufacturing and Commercial industry is preferred

Pay transparency laws require employers to provide the following information for positions that may be in the following jurisdiction(s) :

Salary Range(s) :

Lower Mainland $83,100 - Lower Mainland $124,700 Min / Max Pay Range for postings located in BC (Lower Mainland includes Vancouver & Burnaby)

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
