Future Generations Foundations mission is to create and provide opportunities and resources that support the prosperity of First Nations through connection to way of life, language, and culture- now and for future generations.

The Program Coordinators primary focus is to ensure the consistent and appropriate coordination, interpretation and administration of all facets of the operations of the organization including the eligibility, application, and accurate and efficient distribution of funds from all the funding streams of the FG Foundation in accordance with the specific principles and guidelines set out by all polices and court orders, including but not limited to the Indian Residential Schools Settlement Agreement, the court approved FG Foundation Administration Plan, and the FG Foundation Terms and Conditions.

The Program Coordinator undertakes all functions related to the efficient program coordination and day-to-day administration of the grants program. They ensure the effective use of administration of the FG Foundation resources, in accordance with the priorities enumerated in the Strategic Plan. The incumbent prepares and presents program updates on a quarterly basis to the Board of Trustees and is accountable for efficient follow-up of decision on the grants program.

Reporting to the Program Manager, the Program Coordinator supports the Program Manager and the Executive Director in monitoring the progress and results of the FG Foundation annual work-plan and Strategic Plan.

Key responsibilities include :

Ensuring the consistent interpretation and application of the eligibility criteria and guidelines and making decisions based on the policies and guidelines approved by the Board of Trustees.

Supporting the Program Manager to coordinate and provide training to the program staff in the administrative management of grants.

Receiving and processing grant applications based on clear direction provided by the Program Manager, Executive Director and the Board of Trustees.

Reviewing all program and grant files prepared by the program staff to ensure quality control, coherence, and consistency in program administration.

Coordinating communications with beneficiaries to inform applicants of status of application and decisions regarding funding.

Supporting the Program Manager by providing accurate information and reports for consideration and on-going decision-making of the Board of Trustees and Committees.

Assisting the Finance & Operations and Program managers, to follow-up on the financial and operational information prior to the commencement of the annual year-end audit.

Collaborating with the Communications department and Program Manager to ensure all communications concerning programs, recipients, and impacts of program are accurate, current so they can be shared with stakeholders and the public.

Performing regular analysis of operational reports.

Administering all data input from the grant applications.

Investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving problems, discrepancies, and issues with regards to the application and eligibility process, administration, and policies, and recommend resolutions as appropriate and applicable to the program staff.

Researching and preparing recommendations for resolution of issues that arise to support and ensure the administration is consistent with the court approved FG Foundation Administration Plan and the FG Foundation Terms and Conditions.

Addressing skill gaps and preparing learning and training materials.

Onboarding new employees.

Implementing and training program staff on any new programs or funds as directed.

Performing other related duties as requested by the Program Manager and the Executive Director.

Persons of Indigenous ancestry will be given preference (s.16(1) CHRA)

Education, Experience, Skills and Knowledge

Bachelors degree in an appropriate discipline

A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar function, or an equivalent combination of education and experience with grant funding programs.

Project management experience working with projects and programs.

Excellent skills with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat. Survey Monkey an asset.

database management.

Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to set, prioritize and meet tight deadlines and deliverables, imperative.

Strong ability to take initiative to self-manage and problem-solve.

Experience delivering task-specific training to staff in accordance with procedure and operational guidelines.

Solid client relations experience.

Strong understanding of First Nations culture and worldviews.

Work experience serving First Nations and Indigenous community is a strong asset.

Work experience in the not-for-profit sector is an asset.

Project Management Certificate an asset.

Language :

Excellent communication skills in written and oral English.

Knowledge of Indigenous languages is an asset.

Knowledge of French is an asset.

La mission de la Fondation des gnrations venir consiste crer et fournir des occasions et des ressources qui soutiennent la prosprit des Premires Nations en tablissant un lien avec leur mode de vie, leur langue et leur culture, maintenant et pour les gnrations venir.

La personne qui occupera le poste de coordonnateur(-trice) de programme sera responsable dassurer de faon cohrente et approprie la coordination, linterprtation et ladministration de tous les aspects des oprations de lorganisation (critres dadmissibilit, demandes, distribution prcise et efficace des fonds provenant de toutes les sources de financement de la Fondation GAV) conformment aux lignes directrices et aux principes spcifiquement noncs dans toutes les politiques et ordonnances de tribunaux, y compris la Convention de rglement relative aux pensionnats indiens, le Plan dadministration de la Fondation GAV approuv par les tribunaux, et les modalits de la Fondation GAV.

La personne titulaire du poste assumera toutes les fonctions lies la coordination efficace du programme et ladministration quotidienne du programme de subventions. Elle veillera ladministration efficace des ressources de la Fondation GAV, conformment aux priorits nonces dans le plan stratgique. La personne titulaire du poste prparera des rapports trimestriels sur le programme et les prsentera au conseil dadministration. Elle sera aussi responsable deffectuer un suivi efficace des dcisions relatives au programme de subventions.

Relevant du gestionnaire de programme, la personne qui occupera le poste de coordonnateur(-trice) de programme aidera le gestionnaire de programme et la directrice gnrale assurer le suivi des progrs et des rsultats du plan stratgique et du plan de travail annuel de la Fondation GAV.

Principales responsabilits :

Assurer linterprtation et lapplication cohrentes des lignes directrices et des critres dadmissibilit, et prendre des dcisions fondes sur les politiques et les lignes directrices approuves par le conseil dadministration.

Appuyer le gestionnaire de programme dans la coordination et la formation du personnel du programme en matire de gestion administrative des subventions.

Recevoir et traiter les demandes de subvention selon les directives claires fournies par le gestionnaire de programme, la directrice gnrale et le conseil dadministration.

Examiner tous les dossiers de programme et de subvention prpars par le personnel du programme afin dassurer le contrle de la qualit, la cohrence et luniformit de ladministration du programme.

Coordonner les communications avec les bnficiaires afin dinformer les demandeurs de ltat de leur demande et des dcisions relatives au financement.

Appuyer le gestionnaire de programme en fournissant des rapports et des renseignements exacts au conseil dadministration et aux comits aux fins dexamen et dune prise de dcision en continu.

Aider lquipe des finances et des oprations et les gestionnaires de programme assurer le suivi relatif aux renseignements financiers et oprationnels avant le dbut de laudit annuel de fin dexercice.

En collaboration avec le service des communications et le gestionnaire de programme, veiller ce que toutes les communications concernant les programmes, les bnficiaires et les retombes des programmes soient exactes et jour afin quelles puissent tre transmises aux parties prenantes et au public.

Effectuer une analyse priodique des rapports oprationnels.

Grer toutes les donnes issues des demandes de subvention.

Prendre en charge les enqutes, le dpannage et la rsolution pour les problmes, erreurs et aux autres enjeux relatifs au processus de demande, aux critres dadmissibilit, ladministration et aux politiques, et recommander des solutions appropries et applicables au personnel du programme.

Effectuer des recherches et formuler des recommandations pour la rsolution des problmes qui surviennent afin de soutenir ladministration et dassurer sa conformit au plan dadministration approuv par les tribunaux de la Fondation GAV et ses modalits.

Remdier aux lacunes en matire de comptences et prparer le matriel dapprentissage et de formation.

Soccuper de lintgration les nouveaux employs.

Mettre en uvre la formation du personnel du programme concernant tout nouveau programme ou financement, selon les directives.

Excuter dautres tches connexes demandes par le gestionnaire de programme et la directrice gnrale.

Les personnes dascendance autochtone auront la prfrence (LCPD, par. 16(1))

Formation, exprience

Baccalaurat dans une discipline approprie

Au moins 2ans dexprience dans un poste semblable, ou une combinaison quivalente dtudes et dexprience dans le cadre de programmes de financement.

Exprience en gestion de projets et de programmes.

Excellente matrise de la suite Microsoft Office et dAdobe Acrobat; la connaissance de Survey Monkey constitue un atout.

Comptences en gestion de bases de donnes.

Excellentes comptences organisationnelles, souci du dtail et capacit fixer, hirarchiser et respecter les chances serres des livrables (obligatoire).

Grande capacit prendre des initiatives dautogestion et de rsolution de problmes.

Exprience de formation du personnel des tches prcises, conformment aux procdures et aux directives oprationnelles.

Solide exprience dans le domaine des relations avec les clients.

Solide comprhension des cultures et des visions du monde des Premires Nations.

Exprience de travail au service des communauts autochtones et des Premires Nations (un atout majeur).

Exprience de travail dans le secteur des organismes sans but lucratif (un atout).

Certificat en gestion de projet (un atout).

Langues :

Excellentes comptences en communication crite et orale en anglais.

La connaissance des langues autochtones est un atout.

La connaissance du franais est un atout.
