Senior Project Manager - Engineering

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager for a respected client in the manufacturing and food service industry.

Our client is eager to enhance their Engineering department by bringing on board a Senior Project Manager who can both contribute valuable insights and lead effectively.

The ideal candidate will bring experience from the food and beverage sector, adding to their diverse and skilled team.

Responsibilities

Lead initiatives to drive continuous engineering improvements across multiple facilities.

Manage capital projects from conception to commissioning, including budget preparation, cost tracking, and vendor negotiations.

Identify and prioritize project opportunities, overseeing them from start to finish.

Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering to enhance plant efficiency through technological advancements and process optimization.

Provide technical support for troubleshooting plant equipment and services.

Represent the company in interactions with government agencies for permitting and obtaining necessary approvals.

Support Plant Managers in promoting a culture of continuous improvement within manufacturing facilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering; Mechanical Engineering preferred.

At least 10 years of progressive engineering / technical experience in a manufacturing setting, with 8 years in a leadership role.

Minimum 5 years of experience managing capital projects.

Experience in food manufacturing is essential; meat manufacturing experience is preferred.

Familiarity with ammonia plant operations is a plus.

P.Eng. designation required

Willingness to travel regularly
