Technical Writer

JSI is seeking an experienced technical writer to help create and maintain technical documentation in the area of core platform Engineering. This role will collaborate with variety of users and audiences both internal to Product Development as well as outside facing : Operations, Technical support, and Customer System Administrators.

Responsibilities :

• Create, organize,andmaintainengineering documentation such as system manuals, how-to guides, release manuals, knowledge base articles, and troubleshootingguides.
• Create, validate,and maintain comprehensive technical and operational documentation including but not limited to operational procedures, deployment guides, and upgrade documentation.
• Gather information from subject-matter experts, compile, develop, organize, and write technical specifications, design decision records and processdocumentation.
• Act as the engineering documentation coordinator / work with development and supportleads.
• Work closely withdocumentationteam to conform / adhere to the necessary corporate documentation standards andnorms.
• Develop,implement,andmaintainnecessary documentationtemplates.
• Evaluate current content and develop / implement innovative methods for improvement (style guides, content templates, best practices).
• Act as the user advocate and provide consistent voice across alldocumentation.

How We Work

You will be expected to work in a remote / hybrid environment reporting to our Kanata, Ontario location 2 or more times per week.
