Government Relations Consultant

StrategyCorp is seeking a Government Relations Consultant to join our Ottawa team.

The Role The successful candidate will bring first-hand knowledge of federal and provincial governments and national politics, along with a passion for tackling complex policy issues.

You are a strategic thinker who combines strong research and analytical skills with clear, effective communication.

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications Required Experience 2–3 years of relevant work experience Experience in public policy development Familiarity with major public policy issues and the Canadian political landscape Core Competencies Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to translate complex issues into clear, concise materials Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities Sound judgment and decision-making within scope of responsibility Ability to take initiative and work independently Strong project management skills: able to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage multiple assignments with minimal supervision Excellent research skills using a range of online and offline sources Ability to work collaboratively under tight deadlines and pressure Professional client service skills, including experience interacting with clients, elected officials, and government or political staff Solid understanding of the machinery of government (municipal, provincial, and federal), as well as the public and private sectors Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) Why Join StrategyCorp?
