Product Manager - Marine EV (Software & Hardware)

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the development and management of our innovative Marine Electric Vehicle (EV) product line, focusing on both software and hardware integration.

Location : Vancouver, BC

Job Type : Full-Time

Schedule : Monday-Friday

Salary : $80,000 - $120,000 annually

Job Summary :

The Product Manager will drive the development and strategy for our cutting-edge Marine EV product line. This role demands a blend of technical expertise in both software and hardware, combined with strategic thinking to ensure our products meet market needs and align with our vision of innovation in the marine industry.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and execute the product roadmap for Marine EVs, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives and market demand.
  • Lead cross-functional teams including engineering, design, marketing, and sales to ensure successful product development and launch.
  • Conduct thorough market analysis to gauge customer needs, market trends, and the competitive landscape.
  • Manage the entire product lifecycle from concept through launch, ensuring products meet high standards of quality and are delivered on schedule.
  • Prioritize customer requirements and translate them into detailed product specifications.
  • Utilize expertise in software and hardware to guide development teams and ensure the integration of both components.
  • Monitor product performance and gather user feedback to inform continuous product improvements.
  • Ensure all product designs comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Provide technical and project management support for marine projects, offering solutions and guidance.
  • Manage budgets, ensuring resource allocation delivers cost-effective product solutions.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to procure necessary components and services.
  • Develop and deliver training on product usage and maintenance to both internal teams and customers.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in product management, specifically with software and hardware integration.
  • Strong technical background in software development processes and hardware design.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability in managing cross-functional teams and complex projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Project Management Certification (PMP or similar) is a plus.
  • Fluency in Mandarin is required for effective communication with our China branch.
  • Preferred experience in the marine industry or electric vehicle sector.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and agile development methodologies is advantageous.
