Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Equipment Troubleshooting : Diagnose and repair faults in company equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Machinery Installation and Maintenance : Install, maintain, and remove machinery on production lines, including planning machine installations and alignments.
• Fabrication and Modifications : Fabricate machinery from constituent parts and modify production and machine shop equipment as necessary.
• Piping and Fittings : Perform pipe fittings work on hydraulic, pneumatic, and water systems.
• Machine Shop Operations : Operate machine shop equipment to close tolerances, and conduct general clean-up and maintenance of the shop area.
• Health and Safety : Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and company policies, participating actively in ongoing training to maintain compliance.
• Blueprint Reading : Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings, and utilize OEM knowledge to support equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Welding : Perform welding tasks as required.
• Shift Flexibility : Be available to work alternate shifts as needed.
• Additional Duties : Undertake other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

433A license is an asset but not required.

Experience : Proven experience in a manufacturing environment - packaging industry preferred

Mechanical Aptitude : Strong mechanical skills and troubleshooting capabilities.

Technical Skills : Ability to read blueprints, knowledge of OEM, and some experience with welding.

Safety Compliance : Knowledge of and adherence to health and safety regulations.
