Reporting to the Manager Corporate Systems, the Senior Business Analyst will possess strong analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, and a keen understanding of retail business operations.

The Senior Business Analyst serves as a critical liaison between the various business and IT stakeholders to drive the execution of projects, enhancements and production support for our ERP system demonstrating strong technical competence and system knowledge.

The Senior Business Analyst documents, develops and supports the implementation of solutions and processes to satisfy specific business needs.

The Senior Business Analyst manages all aspects of assigned projects and support requests through the various stages of the SDLC process.

Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following :

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
  • Analyze and interpret data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Evaluate existing business processes and systems to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement. Ability to identify overlapping functions and interdepartmental dependencies
  • Assist with business case development and perform cost-benefit analyses to support proposed solutions.
  • Design and document business processes, workflows, and system requirements.
  • Facilitate meetings, workshops, and interviews with stakeholders to elicit requirements and gather feedback.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement solutions and ensure successful project delivery keeping all stakeholders and team members engaged and informed.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide training and support to end-users.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess the effectiveness of implemented solutions.
  • Partner effectively with business partners and demonstrate the ability to influence recommended solutions in a compelling manner
  • Provide on-going general inquiries, support, training sessions and overviews to the user community
  • Support business stakeholders by understanding current state business process and how best to use their respective software solutions.
  • Manage the intake, prioritization, and stakeholder communication for new business requirements
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to the business.

The ideal candidate :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in technical related field (Computer Sciences, Information Systems, Technology, Engineering) or Business Administration
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive business analysis experience working in with retail technologies
  • Solid knowledge of all SAP ERP finance modules (SAP ECC, SAP CAR) including GL, AP, AR Projects & Fixed Asset, and Vendor Payment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of integrations and application infrastructure
  • Proficiency in leveraging SQL statements to query and export data to support various analysis and troubleshooting would be an asset
  • Track record of delivery in a managed services environment, with a variety of 3rd party solution vendors
  • Strong analytical, problem solving skills and able to articulate solutions in clear business language; experience translating business requirements and technical requirements
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with and positively influence and all internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Adaptable and comfortable with ambiguity and change
  • Proficient in Microsoft Visio as well as core Microsoft products
