Responsibilities
- Preparing engineering drawings for land development and water resources projects.
- Preparing conceptual and final grading, site servicing and road design for residential, commercial and institutional land development projects.
- Formulating earthwork quantity analysis and management processes.
- Preparing presentation graphics and report figures.
- Coordinating project drawings with project managers, design staff and others.
- Coordinating designs with utility providers.
- Ensuring that the projects’ needs are met in a timely and effective manner.
- Preparing complete submission packages, supporting calculations, cost estimates, project schedules and other duties.
- Preparing / assisting with construction tender / contract documents.
- Coordinating design components with other disciplines and possible work with other offices.
- Collecting field data to support engineering and water resources projects.
- Providing design ideas and solutions and performing quality control of construction documents.
- Assisting with construction site inspections and meetings.
- Assisting with resolution of technical issues on construction sites.
Capabilities and Credentials
Self‑motivated individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and work with teams.Knowledge of the local geographic area and area municipality design standards is an asset.Working knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel.Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or graduate of a Civil Technology program.Registered or eligible for registration as a Certified Engineering Technologist or Professional Engineer.Minimum of 3 years of experience within a land development consulting engineering environment.Comprehensive working knowledge and experience with Civil 3D and AutoCAD.Experience in preparing land development and municipal engineering drawings, including grading and servicing plans, storm and sanitary drainage plans, erosion control drawings, etc.Job Details
