Responsibilities :
Generate new business through building relationships with various client groups
Identify new clients and opportunities to expand Code Consulting services
Apply Building and Fire Codes to new building designs as well as to existing buildings and renovations.
Prepare Code reports and other technical communication.
Support internal and external clients by advising on application of Codes and standards.
Coordinate project teams including other staff, contractors and other technical disciplines for successful project delivery.
Investigate, advise, and solve unusual design and Code problems.
Prepare project proposals and liaise with clients to understand their needs and identify new opportunities.
Manage projects and be the primary client contact.
Qualifications :
Degree in Engineering or Diploma in Fire Protection.
Minimum 6 years of Code consulting experience.
Proven ability to conduct business development.
Proven ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and persuasively.
Strong technical skills and strong knowledge of Building and Fire Codes and related standards, Ontario and National Code knowledge is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and communicate with clients, authorities and contractors.
