Who we need

The Assistant Vice President (AVP) Program Management , will be reporting to the Chief Administration Officer. You will lead the execution of digitally transformative client programs for Securian Canada.

We are looking for a seasoned expert in program management with a proven ability to deliver measurable results and ensure stakeholder satisfaction.

You will manage a team focused on enhancing client and customer experiences through effective program execution, escalation management, and data-driven insights.

You will be a strategic leader skilled in stakeholder alignment, adept at steering digital insurance initiatives to meet business objectives while driving program efficiency within the innovation vertical.

What you will do

  • Drive Value and Impact : Ensure all programs deliver measurable value aligned with strategic objectives, focusing on outcomes that enhance the organization’s growth and success;
  • Oversee Program Documentation : Guarantee that comprehensive, centralized documentation is maintained across all programs, enabling full visibility and accessibility for leadership and key stakeholders;
  • Capture Organizational Learnings : Establish a framework for capturing lessons learned and best practices to continuously improve future program execution and organizational efficiency;
  • Promote Knowledge Integration : Encourage cross-functional knowledge sharing to enhance the organization’s capabilities and drive innovation across departments;
  • Data-Driven Leadership : Leverage data and analytics at a strategic level to inform decisions, optimize program performance, and anticipate future needs.
  • Ensure Leadership Engagement : Foster active leadership involvement throughout program execution to maintain alignment with company goals and stakeholder expectations.
  • Shape Team Culture : Cultivate a high-performance culture that promotes innovation, collaboration, and accountability, ensuring teams are motivated to exceed expectations;
  • Establish Accountability Frameworks : Implement strong accountability structures that empower leaders and teams to take ownership of their programs and deliver results;
  • Empower Decision-Making : Delegate decision-making authority strategically, ensuring teams are equipped and confident to drive initiatives forward independently.

What you will bring

  • The experience. 10+ years' experience with transformational program execution, as it relates to digitization in insurance programs and progressive digital insurance product distribution, bringing a forward-thinking approach to reshaping customer interactions and experience.
  • The knowledge. Deep and insightful understanding of how to use data and analytics to tailor offerings and communications across channels, providing exceptional experience for clients and customers / members.

The expertise in using digital tools to gather insights and provide tailored offerings, and the ability to navigate digital ecosystems and exceptional partner collaboration.

The drive. Ability to focus on creating intuitive, user-friendly digital-based experience that simplifies processes, reduces friction, and enhances engagement, and continuously gather and act on customer feedback to refine digital products and services.

Adaptability and resilience are a requirement. Be prepared to adapt program plans in response to changing circumstances or unexpected challenges, and building resilience into the program by ensuring the team is equipped to handle setbacks and changes is critical.
