YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE

:

Reporting to the Director, Health, Safety & Security, you will be part of the Health and Safety Department. You will lead the organization-wide risk management program, ensuring a consistent and proactive approach to aviation safety. This role is responsible for integrating AEM safety protocols, BARS guidelines, and aviation consultants’ recommendations into risk assessments for new or non-routine aviation-related activities, such as one-off exploration projects and emerging technologies (e.g., drones). The Advisor will conduct site audits to evaluate the effectiveness of critical control management, ensure the consistent application of the supervision formula across all current and future sites, and actively support and facilitate the aviation specialist community of practice while promoting a strong risk management culture within the organization.

  • Provide ongoing oversight and implementation of the Agnico Eagle Major Hazard Program, ensuring alignment with organizational risk management objectives across all operations.

  • Lead and oversee the organization-wide risk management program, providing expert guidance on the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of risk management practices.

  • Coordinate the aviation safety program across sites in collaboration with aviation consultants, ensuring full compliance with BARS requirements and internal aviation standards company-wide.

  • Track, review, update, and communicate aviation standards and non-conformance findings, ensuring timely follow-up and corrective action.

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk management audit program and associated KPIs, including the selection and implementation of suitable risk management software integrated with the critical control field visit program.

  • Manage and monitor the aviation audit calendar, support company charter service selection, and serve as a subject-matter reference for aviation incident investigations.

  • Promote a strong risk management culture by developing and delivering training and e-learning materials on bowtie analysis and other risk management methodologies, building risk capability across all sites.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health, Safety, Mining, Risk Management, or similar;

  • 10-15 years of experience in risk management, aviation management, health and safety, or similar;
