Accountant

Our client the BIG FOUR consulting firm ishiring for the Accountant position in Montreal Area. This is acontract hybrid position.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) must.The hourly compensation rate is negotiable. Must bebilingual. The Accountant may be responsible for butis not limited to :

• Provide financialinformation to management by researching and analyzing accountingdata; preparing reports.
• Prepare assetliability and capital account entries by compiling and analyzingaccount information.
• Document financialtransactions by entering accountinformation.
• Recommend financial actions byanalyzing accounting options.
• Summarize currentfinancial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheetprofit and loss statement and otherreports.
• Substantiates financial transactionsby auditing documents.
• Maintain accountingcontrols by preparing and recommending policies andprocedures.
• Guide accounting clerical staff bycoordinating activities and answeringquestions.
• Reconcile financial discrepancies bycollecting and analyzing accountinformation.
• Secure financial information bycompleting database backups.
• Maintain financialsecurity by following internalcontrols.
• Prepare payments by verifyingdocumentation and requestingdisbursements.
• Answers accounting procedurequestions by researching and interpreting accounting policy andregulations.
• Complies with federal state andlocal financial legal requirements by studying existing and newlegislation enforcing adherence to requirements and advisingmanagement on needed actions.
• Prepares specialfinancial reports by collecting analyzing and summarizing accountinformation and trends.
