Job descriptionTranslate a wide range of documents related to property and casualty (P&C) insurance, including technical manuals, training materials, guidelines, job aids, newsletters, software interfaces, and more. Act as a linguistic resource, offering guidance and support to internal clients and fellow translators on a variety of topics. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure translations are accurate, clear, and aligned with business needs. Maintain and update translation memories and terminology databases. Manage your assignments using our translation project management system. Contribute to the ongoing improvement of our linguistic tools and processes. Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Linguistic Services project manager. Full fluency in French and English, both written and spoken. Proficiency in French and English is essential, as this role involves regular communication—both written and verbal—with colleagues, partners, and clients across Canada. At least 5 years of professional translation experience, including in a corporate environment. Solid knowledge of the general (P&C) insurance or financial services industry (strong asset). Excellent writing, grammar, and editing skills. Computer proficiency including MS Office suite, and experience working with a range of formats (including .xliff), AI, and learning platforms (Elucidat, Articulate), along with a strong motivation to continuously improve and expand skill Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail, autonomy, intellectual curiosity, and a proactive mindset.

You will work closely with a team of experienced linguists and collaborate with colleagues across the company to ensure our communications—whether client-facing, technical, or operational—are clear, consistent, and aligned with our brand. If you have experience in the P&C insurance industry, and are detail-oriented, collaborative, and passionate about language, we would love to hear from you.
