Position Summary
The Supply Chain Coordinator Procurement and Inventory is a part of the Supply Chain team focused on the Procurement of Glass and other materials at Greco as well as the management of inventory.
This position is required to plan daily and weekly all necessary activities related to the shipment of Glass, usage of material and measurement of inventory.
This position will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. The Supply Chain Coordinator Procurement and Inventory coordinates with project manager’s regarding the purchasing, shipping and delivery of glass materials while maintaining communications with carriers, suppliers, warehouses, custom brokers, and others involved in the shipping and delivery.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring glass releases are ordered, delivered and received.
- Make sure all goods are delivered to the appropriate location.
- Organize and inventory all stock and continue to follow appropriate housekeeping practices (including continuous improvement of stock and inventory).
- Month end coordination and cycle counting of inventory.
- Accurately completing purchase orders. Verifying unclear information on glass orders with the project manager or the design team.
- Issuing of inventory purchase orders to all internal customers.
- Dispatching shipments with our preferred carriers.
- Expedite shipments from suppliers or to customers if requested by Operations.
- Maintenance of inventory control system (including all receivable entries and inventory adjustments).
- Completion and organization of all paperwork to be sent by outgoing shipments.
- Entering Job costing from daily production (Aluminum) into Sage.
Knowledge & Skills
- Ability to communicate professionally, verbally and in writing, with team members and customers.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to provide direction and effectively manage a group of employees.
Experience
- 3+ years of experience in supply chain, inventory management, or logistics.
- Experience creating reports and presentations in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or construction industry software in a professional environment, including project management software.
Education
- High school diploma.
- Degree or diploma in supply chain management / logistics would be considered an asset.
