Ourclient is seeking a highly experienced and innovative Director ofMechanical Engineering with 8 years of experience to lead themechanical engineering team.

The ideal candidate will have a proventrack record in mechanical design product development and teamleadership with the ability to drive projects from concept throughproduction.

This role requires a strategic thinker with strongtechnical expertise excellent communication skills and the abilityto collaborate across departments to deliver highqualityengineering solutions that meet companyobjectives.

KeyResponsibilities :

LeadershipandManagement :

• Leadand mentor a team of mechanical engineers fostering a culture ofinnovation collaboration and continuousimprovement.
• Setteam goals provide regular feedback and conduct performanceevaluations to ensure team members are meeting professional andcompanyexpectations.
• Overseeresource allocation project timelines and budget management toensure ontime and onbudget delivery of engineeringprojects.

ProjectManagement :

• Managethe entire product development lifecycle from initial conceptthrough detailed design prototyping testing andproduction.
• Collaboratewith crossfunctional teams including electrical engineeringsoftware engineering manufacturing and marketing to ensure seamlessintegration of mechanical components inproducts.
• Identifyand mitigate risks throughout the design and development processensuring compliance with industry standards andregulations.

TechnicalExpertise :

• Providetechnical guidance and expertise in the areas of mechanical designmaterials selection thermal management and structuralanalysis.
• Leaddesign reviews and ensure that engineering solutions are robustcosteffective and meet all technicalrequirements.
• Stayuptodate with the latest advancements in mechanical engineeringmaterials science and manufacturing technologies to driveinnovation within theteam.

StrategicPlanning :

• Workclosely with senior management to define the mechanical engineeringstrategy that aligns with the company s longtermgoals.
• Identifyopportunities for process improvements cost reductions and productinnovations that can enhance the companys competitiveadvantage.
• Developand manage relationships with external vendors partners andindustry experts to leverage external expertise andresources.

Complianceand QualityAssurance :

• Ensureall mechanical designs comply with relevant industry standardssafety regulations and environmentalguidelines.
• Implementand maintain rigorous quality assurance processes to ensure thehighest levels of product quality andreliability.

Requirements

• Bachelors or Master s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relatedfield.
• Minimumof 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering with at least 3years in a leadership or managerialrole.
• Provenexperience in leading mechanical engineering teams through theentire product developmentlifecycle.
• Strongknowledge of mechanical design principles materials science thermalanalysis and manufacturingprocesses.
• Proficiencyin CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks AutoCAD) and other engineeringtools.
• Experiencewith project management methodologies andtools.
• Excellentproblemsolving skills and attention todetail.
• Strongcommunication and interpersonal skills with the ability tocollaborate effectively acrossdepartments.
• Experiencein the industryspecific sector is aplus.
• Knowledgeof relevant industry standards and regulatoryrequirements.
