Municipal Engineer

Randstad is excited to partner with one of our reputable clients in their search for a talented Municipal Engineer, who will have experience working within a wide range of Municipal Infrastructure projects in Ontario.

This position requires someone who has their P.Eng license.

This position is located in Vaughan, ON and requires someone who is open to work in the office five days a week. This position will allow the opportunity to grow and develop into a Lead / Management position, hence the reasoning for the position being full-time in office

Responsibilities

• Oversee the delivery of the technical milestones and phases of the project
• Manage the budgets and deadlines for the project
• Design of public sector municipal servicing projects
• Design and project execution for municipal infrastructure projects including : watermain, sewers, retaining

walls, pumping stations, road design

• Review design drawings
• Manage the development of contract specifications and documentation;
• Review and analyze project schedules for activities
• Provide input to the preparation of proposals, project cost estimates, and budgets in collaboration with the

Senior Management

• Liaise with the various municipal / utility / approval agencies
• Author feasibility studies and technical engineering reports;

Qualifications

• Undergraduate Degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum of 6 years of municipal infrastructure experience
• Registered as a Professional Engineer in Ontario
• Experience working as a Design Engineer
• Knowledge and application of Ontario Provincial Standards and Specifications
• Knowledge of municipal and provincial approval processes
• Experience with watermain, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, forcemain, grading plans and drainage design

projects

Consideried an asset but not required :

• Trenchless infrastructure design
• Project Management experience on municipal and / or private sector projects
• Knowledge and experience with Contract Administration and / or Pumping Station Design
