Location : Various locations across Alberta

The Compounding Pharmacist is responsible for preparing customized medications to meet the specific needs of patients. This role involves formulating, mixing, and dispensing medications while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Prepare and compound medications in accordance with prescriptions and established protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to compounding.
  • Perform quality control checks on compounded products to verify accuracy and safety.
  • Maintain accurate records of compounding activities and inventory management.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to determine patients' unique medication needs.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure as a pharmacist in the relevant province or state.
  • Knowledge of compounding techniques and regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
