S&C is continuing to grow. Where do you come in? We are looking for talented Team Leader for the Day Shift, who has a passion for innovation and in their field of expertise, enjoys working as part of a team and are committed to helping us become a leader in our industry.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Supervisor, the Team Leader is responsible providing hands-on leadership to the production line while ensuring that production needs and quality standards are maintained.

The Team Leader will provide guidance and support for the day-to-day activities, including but not limited to training, coaching, guiding Team Members within the specified area of responsibility.

This will be accomplished by being a role model, leading by example and fostering an environment of mutual respect and team work amongst Team Members

Duties & Responsibilities :

  • In conjunction with the Supervisor may conduct pre-shift huddles and provide feedback for Team Members on daily requirements
  • Scheduling of daily tasks to be carried out by their team
  • Leads, coaches, mentors and trains Team Members to meet departmental goals
  • Provide support to the Supervisor by assisting with schedule adherence and following-up with Team Members as needed
  • Investigate and resolve day to day issues pertaining to the flow of S&C products and materials
  • Provide on-the-job new hire orientation / training to ensure that all new Team Members have the knowledge to perform their job successfully
  • Participate in Team Member evaluations within their team
  • Ensures a safe working environment at all times by enforcing S&C standards
  • May be required to perform general labor duties when needed in order to meet production needs

Minimum Requirements :

  • High school diploma
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
  • Good communication skills with the ability to interact with internal and external customers
  • Excellent leadership skills with a proven track record of successfully coaching and mentoring others
  • demonstrated organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work as a team player as well as independently
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement manufacturing principles considered an asset
  • Ability to follow a safety-first philosophy
