Associate Talent Acquisition - supporting Provincial Laboratory Medicine Services & BC Mental Health and Subtance Use Services

Bring your customer service and dynamic interpersonal skills to this Associate role at PHSA supporting the Provincial Laboratory Medicine Services (PLMS) and BC Mental Health and Substance Use Services (BCMHSUS).

What you’ll do

The Associate Talent Acquisition reports to the Lead, Talent Acquisition (TA), Clinical Services, and supports recruitment efforts for Provincial Laboratory Medicine Services and BC Mental Health and Substance Use Services.

  • Carry out accountabilities for assigned portfolio including posting job postings, creating and sending offer letters, employment references, and tracking and submitting new hire paperwork.
  • Contribute to ongoing process improvement and standardization.
  • Demonstrate compliancy with HR policies and recruitment processes and guidelines.
  • Manage centralized email boxes.
  • Provide assistance to Advisor and TA team members, HR managers, hiring leaders / designates non-contract and unionized staff in regards to the recruitment process and policies.

What you bring

Qualifications

  • A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Diploma in Human Resource Management plus a minimum of one (1) year of recent related experience.
  • Knowledge of Collective Agreements within Healthcare sector is an asset.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills; aptitude to listen, ascertain the needs of clients, develop relationships, and respond accordingly in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize work with emphasis on time sensitive and confidential matters.
  • Must possess a high level of commitment to customer service, be detailed oriented, flexible and a true team player.
  • Advanced computer literacy with word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs, MS Word, Outlook, Excel, is required.
  • Ability to type at 55 wpm.
  • Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and PeopleSoft or HRIS system experience is an asset.
