Position : Senior Field Applications Engineer

Amphenol High Speed and Commercial Products Groups are the market leaders for high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom / Datacom and Diverse market (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMs globally. Our global headquarters are located in Nashua, NH and we have design, sales, and manufacturing locations globally. We are currently seeking a Field Applications Engineer to join remotely in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

Our customer's ultimate success depends on our ability to solve cutting edge problems in relation to high bandwidth signal transmission. We value our relationships with these companies, and we depend on our Sales and Field Applications Engineering Teams to foster this ongoing partnership.

As a Field Applications Engineer you will interface with our customers, and internal product development, product marketing, and sales teams.

• Engineering resource on the sales team to lead technical aspects of the sales cycle
• Provide technical marketing support for the development and implementation of Amphenol products
• Prepare materials and participate in product presentations
• Provide drawing, models to customer requests
• Provide customer service to solve complex interconnect problems and technical inquiries
• Help devise strategies to differentiate our products and solutions from our competitors
• Meet and exceed strategic objectives
• Some travel will be required as needed to support various customer sites and Amphenol factory visits.
• Other travel for internal meetings, Trade Shows, and / or other customer meetings outside of Ottawa is required.

The base salary range for this position is $110,000-$137,000CAD annually. In determining the rate of pay, Amphenol considers a variety of nondiscriminatory factors, including but not limited to geographic location, relevant industry experience, qualifications, skills, and education. It would be rare for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for a given role. Base salary is one facet of Amphenol's total rewards package which includes participation in our comprehensive benefits program with medical, dental, and vision benefits, vacation, sick leave, paid holidays, life insurance, short / long term disability, and membership in our Defined Contribution Pension Plan. Our employees are also eligible for participation in an annual incentive bonus program based on their position. OurField Applications Engineers are also eligible to participate in an annual incentive bonus program and provided with a company vehicle.
