TELUS Health is looking for a Fitness & Wellness Consultant in Ottawa, ON.

The Fitness & Wellness Consultant will be responsible for teaching a variety of group exercise classes, assisting members in the gym, and promoting health and wellness programs to corporate employees.
Here’s how
- Providing virtual fitness and wellness programming
- Instructing and assisting in the scheduling of fitness classes and monitoring participation
- Instruction of both in-person and virtual fitness classes
- Monitoring fitness program use to provide guidance and ensure safety of participants
- Reporting of monthly and / or quarterly usage stats
- Facilitate the completion of GAQ screening forms and waivers for new members and annually
- Facilitate virtual guided meditations, delivery of virtual wellness resources, and monthly wellness lunch and learn lectures
- Create personal fitness programs and provide personal training sessions in the gym for fitness centre members to ensure proper exercise technique
Qualifications
You're the missing piece of the puzzle
- Degree or diploma in Kinesiology, Fitness or Health promotion
- Current CPR / First Aid / AED certification
- Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Training certification
- Energetic, confident, reliable, positive, engaging with a passion for fitness and health
- Works well as part of a team
- High degree of self motivation and initiative
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and customer service skills
- Strong computer skills with ability to adapt to and learn various software applications
- Experience in the corporate fitness & wellness field an asset
