Responsibilities :

• Supportthe branch in developing and implementing the technical solutionsneeded as well as providing operational support ensuring that anytechnical glitch can be quicklyaddressed
• Supportthe branch in data migration and dataintegration
• Designtechnical solutions for data collecting and storing into ourcentralized datarepository
• Developdetailed application programming specifications Extract Transformand Load (ETL) scripts design datadriven logic and conducting unittests
• Developtest and implement the required technical solutions as well asensure that the requirements in terms of data accuracy quality aremet
• Producedesign artifacts and documentation which will allow future supportof the implementedsolutions
• Supportthe enhancement to extend the current automatic ETL process forother data source from Contact (online tool for citizens to providecontact details) the Ontario Laboratory Information System (OLIS)Integrated Public Health Information System (iPHIS) iPHIS CognosReporting Network (CRN) the Provincial Client Registry (PCR) andEnterprise Master Patient Index (EMPI)service
• Developcoding testing and debugging to support centralization andstandardization of data entry to achieve expediated public healthcase and contact initiation along with reporting and timelyanalytics
• Providesubject matter expertise to develop test support and maintainreports and transform and present data to supportanalytics
• Provideand support Case and Contact Management (CCM) solution to enableselfservice reports which is a critical functionality for PHUs andotherstakeholders
• ProvideBusiness intelligence and data analytics data warehouse designdimensional data modeling relational data modeling development andsupport
• Workto improve data transformation and reporting from the provincialCCMsystem
• SupportCognos administration and packagecreation
• Conductresearch and assessment of options for technical designissues
• Contributeto design / development project plans including work breakdown andresourcesestimates
• ProvideCognos report design development and testing Framework managerQuery Studio Reports Studio creation of dashboards etc.
• Conducttechnical analysis preparation of detailed programmingspecifications program design writing and / or generating code andconduct unit tests
• Translatetechnical specifications for integration / sustainment and upgradeinto working tested applicationcode
• Undertakeproof of technology with test data to simulate application load andperformance tuning relatedapplications
• Providesoftware expertise in various computing platforms operating systemsdatabase technology communication protocols middleware andgateways
• Provideimpact analysis effort estimate and solution design / development forthe centralization and standardization of data entry acrosssystems
• Providetechnical expertise and advice for the integration of theprovincial Immunization Repository and the CCMsolution
• Participatein the planning technical analysis and design of solutions insupport of infectious disease public health activities includinginfectious disease case contact and outbreak investigation andmanagement immunization administration and vaccine distribution anddelivery(inventory)
• Conducttechnical analysis troubleshooting and issue resolutions forproduction operational support of CCM reports and business modelsand other components and utilities
• Provideend users support for their userdefined reports ifrequired
• Resolvingand implementing critical fixes and changes in CCM tools andutilities as per defects found by business and as per criticalchanges
• Provideapplication programming support for incident management applicationfunctionality sustainment performance tuning and technicaldocumentation
• Workwith Quality Assurance (QA) to code test and debug extensions / toolsintegrationservices
• Performperformance tuning as well as audit and ad hoc reporting perbusiness requests
• CallProvide software expertise in various computing platforms operatingsystems database technology communication protocols middleware andgateways
• MaintainDevelopment environments and continue continuous Integration (CI)practice
• Improvethe quality and accuracy of the data collected for theapproximately 34 PHUs and 2282 PHUusers
• Ensureavailability of the Covid19 tools and CCM solution for use by allOntarians.

Requirements

MUSTHAVES :

• 10years of experiencewith :
• Datawarehousing design and development with focus on extractingtransforming data coming from various data sources and loading intostar / snowflakeschemas.
• Designbuild automate and optimize complex data ETL / ELT processes usingInformatica andequivalent.
• Experiencewith data migration and dataintegration.
• Experiencewith MuleSoft Salesforce bulk load API is anasset.
• Informaticatransformations mappings and workflows (experience with other ETLtools such as DataStage ODI or Microsoft SSIS could also beconsidered)
• Relationaldatabases (Oracle MSSQL) data modelling (relational &dimensional) advanced SQL query optimization data replicationadministration
