Our client, a leading company in trading of metal, mineral resources, and other industries, is currently seeking a dynamic and motivated Inside Sales Representative to join their team.
The ideal candidate will have a background in sales and supply chain management, strong communication skills, and a valid driver’s license.
Job Type : Permanent, Hybrid.
Location : Toronto, ON
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Manage plate and infrastructure-related business operations.
- Expand the electrical steel sheet business in collaboration with partners.
- Promote new business opportunities in eastern Canada.
- Develop and maintain effective communication channels with Mitsui Tokyo and other offshore offices.
- Research new products and methods for assessing potential clients and expanding existing clientele.
- Assist the DGM and GM, and work closely with the sales admin team on various projects and tasks.
- Support management by preparing data materials and contributing to new project assignments.
- Organize and conduct periodic business meetings with customers.
Qualifications and Skills :
- University degree specializing in commerce or sales preferred.
- Proven experience in sales, ideally within the steel or related industry.
- Basic understanding of supply chain and logistics processes.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to client and supplier locations.
- Multitasking abilities and a high degree of organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience in a similar role within the steel industry.
- Knowledge of international trade regulations and export processes.
- Familiarity with CRM software and sales tracking tools.
