Job Description

Our client, a leading company in trading of metal, mineral resources, and other industries, is currently seeking a dynamic and motivated Inside Sales Representative to join their team.

The ideal candidate will have a background in sales and supply chain management, strong communication skills, and a valid driver’s license.

Job Type : Permanent, Hybrid.

Location : Toronto, ON

Roles and Responsibilities :

  • Manage plate and infrastructure-related business operations.
  • Expand the electrical steel sheet business in collaboration with partners.
  • Promote new business opportunities in eastern Canada.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication channels with Mitsui Tokyo and other offshore offices.
  • Research new products and methods for assessing potential clients and expanding existing clientele.
  • Assist the DGM and GM, and work closely with the sales admin team on various projects and tasks.
  • Support management by preparing data materials and contributing to new project assignments.
  • Organize and conduct periodic business meetings with customers.

Qualifications and Skills :

  • University degree specializing in commerce or sales preferred.
  • Proven experience in sales, ideally within the steel or related industry.
  • Basic understanding of supply chain and logistics processes.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to client and supplier locations.
  • Multitasking abilities and a high degree of organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience in a similar role within the steel industry.
  • Knowledge of international trade regulations and export processes.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales tracking tools.
