The opportunity :
The Reliability Projects team focuses on maintenance capital and expense projects. The Project Management EIT will be responsible for the execution of companies methane emissions reduction program for assets in the Prairies.
Project performance will be measured on the ability to deliver projects on schedule, within budget and in compliance with TC Energy project delivery standards.
Reporting to the Manager, Reliability Project the successful candidate will be a key contributor to the management of the leak detection and repair (LDAR) program.
You will work closely with other groups and leads from Engineering, Operations, Commercial, Supply Chain, Compliance and other internal / external stakeholders to plan, organize and execute equipment repairs, replacements and upgrades to meet regulatory emissions targets.
Your strong technical, project management, organizational, and communication skills will help develop the knowledge of the systems, processes and tools required to plan and execute the program in the region.
This position is an excellent opportunity for those with field operations experience to enhance their knowledge and perspective of natural gas pipeline operations.
You’ll be an integral member of the team and will be challenged with both project management and technical job duties.
Minimum Qualifications
- Post-Secondary degree in Engineering; Engineer-In-Training
- 2 - 4 years of progressive relevant field experience in the natural gas and / or oil industry (i.e. installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance)
- Familiarity with project management principles and practices
- Understanding of mechanical discipline drawings (including P&IDs, piping isometrics, general arrangements, mechanical system drawings, civil drawings, etc.)
- Must possess a high level of attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as have good judgment and decision-making abilities
- Ability to exercise leadership without formal authority and have demonstrated leadership skills for delegation, negotiation, influencing, and consensus building to coordinate work to meet objectives
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of PC-based computer systems and software applications with an emphasis on SAP and MS Office
