Senior Mechanical Engineer - Industrial Automation

Agilus is recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Engineer - Industrial Automation in the automated manufacturing industry in Ottawa, Ontario.
This role is responsible for the entire machine development cycle: proposal writing, project definition, machine design, fabrication, integration, and commissioning. You will lead the development of automated manufacturing lines. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional machine design skills, an organized mindset, the ability to work independently, and possess a broad skill set related to the development of automated industrial robotic manufacturing lines. Our client offers turnkey development of complex automated equipment and robotic manufacturing lines.
A typical day:

• Demonstrated experience with all aspects of machine development; requirement definition, conceptual design, 3D modeling/drafting, vendor coordination, assembly, commissioning, and starting up.
• Experience integrating a wide range of technologies into complex systems; mechanism, actuators, sensors, and structural components
• Project management
• Client interfacing
• Knowledge of hygienic equipment design, PLC & Electrical systems
• Mentoring teams members

Successful candidates will have:

• Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering.
• 10 + years of experience in engineering - Automation experience
• Project Management experience
