Join the dynamic team at PavCo for an exciting 24-month opportunity! We are hiring a Procurement Specialist for a 24-month term at BC Place , focusing on capital construction projects as we prepare for FIFA 2026 and beyond.

This role offers the chance to manage the procurement process for large and small multi-phase projects that will shape the future of BC Place.

We’re looking for a professional with a strong public sector background and a deep understanding of RFPs and RFx processes.

Your exceptional contract and proposal writing skills will be invaluable in delivering results. Strong communication is key you’ll need to translate complex construction and architectural concepts into clear, digestible information for all stakeholders.

Your expertise in price comparison, negotiation, and identifying cost-saving opportunities will ensure value for money without sacrificing quality.

WHAT YOU WILL DO :

  • Provide capital project and operational procurement services including;
  • Manage the end-to-end competitive bid process for construction and services-related procurement.
  • Provide procurement advice and guidance to business units and staff including procurement solutions, contracting strategies and the interpretation of related policies and procedures.
  • Work with business units on scope of work development, draft the RFx document, manage the bid process, conduct supplier evaluation, draft recommendation of award and post-award contract management, change orders.
  • Work closely with internal business units, IT, Legal and Finance on complex RFx.
  • Conduct market research and obtain three quotes as per PavCo policy.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records and documentation on all solicitations, responses, purchases, contracts, correspondence.
  • Provide high standards of service to client departments and adheres to PavCo procurement policies, government standards, contractual practices, applicable laws / regulations, and ethical conduct practices.
  • Liaise with suppliers / contractors to keep current with market conditions, and service / supply performance, convey information regarding purchasing and contracting policies and processes.
  • Analyze current procurement activities and recommends improvement through more efficient procurement methods, standardization, and best practises to lower cost and increase customer service.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING :

  • University or post-secondary education in a relevant field, preferably in Business Administration.
  • Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Experience in managing complex procurement, including experience in managing competitive bids for construction and services-related procurement.
  • Understanding and experience with BC Bid process.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.
  • Experience leading stakeholders through the procurement process from sourcing to contract execution.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation.
  • Demonstrate initiative, accountability and diligence in follow-through.
  • Collaborative, team friendly approach.

The salary range for this position is $ 66,983 83,729. Successful candidates will also receive benefits, paid vacation and will be eligible for the BC Public Service Pension Plan.

  • Offers will be in line with PavCo’s internal pay equity and qualified candidate’s experience and education.
