Our technology helps organizations optimize decisions, increase efficiency, and drive sustainable growth in a changing world.We are seeking a strategic and execution-focused Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead financial operations, drive long-term value creation, and prepare the company for scalable growth and potential liquidity events. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will play a key leadership role in shaping business strategy and building a high-performing finance team.The ideal person is an experienced financial executive with a track record of success in high-growth SaaS or tech environments, particularly within private equity-backed companies. You thrive in fast-paced settings, enjoy driving operational efficiency, and are comfortable leading M&A, financial planning, and capital strategy from the front lines.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & ExecutionServe as a core member of the executive leadership team to help define and drive the company's growth strategy.Lead long-range financial planning, capital allocation, and scenario modeling to guide key business decisions.Partner with the CEO and Board to prepare for future liquidity events, including M&A, roll-ups, or secondary recapitalizations.Financial Planning & OperationsOversee annual budgeting, forecasting, and monthly variance analysis across business units.Lead the development and implementation of financial systems and tools (e.g. NetSuite) to support scale and automation.Ensure timely, accurate reporting of financial results - including monthly close, board packages, and internal dashboards.Accounting, Compliance & ControlsOwn the accounting function and ensure full compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.Coordinate all audit and tax processes, including timely completion of annual audited financial statements.Manage risk, insurance, and corporate governance in partnership with legal counsel.Capital Structure & Cash ManagementManage cash flow, treasury, and banking relationships to optimize liquidity and working capital.Lead debt compliance and lender reporting, ensuring adherence to covenant structures.Support equity and debt financing activities as needed.M&A and Value CreationDrive all financial aspects of M&A, including target evaluation, diligence, integration, and synergy realization.Support strategic initiatives to increase EBITDA, expand margins, and improve capital efficiency.

Qualifications

Language : Fluent in English (written and verbal)Software : Proficient in financial tools and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Excel, FP&A platforms)Years of Experience : 5+ years as CFO or senior finance leader in a SaaS or high-growth environmentExperience in private equity-backed companies, including reporting and exit planningStrong understanding of debt financing, quote-to-cash systems, and valuation strategiesBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA or MBA a strong asset)AssetsExperience leading M&A transactions from evaluation to integrationOperational mindset with ability to link financial strategy to business performanceExcellent communication and executive presence for Board and investor engagementTrack record of building and mentoring high-performing finance teamsLocation : We are committed to finding the best candidate and are flexible regarding location. While Remsoft's headquarters are in Fredericton, New Brunswick, and Ottawa, Ontario, we are open to a range of working arrangements for this role. Candidates can work fully remote, in a hybrid setup, or from our office.
