We are currently recruiting an experienced Project Coordinator to join our team supporting our multi-unit residential construction company.
NOTE :
- Must be willing to various site locations in Uxbridge, Stouffville, and Newmarket
- 100% onsite
- 8 : 00am -5 : 00pm preferred. Monday - Friday with occasional weekend work during busy times
- Valid driver's license and own reliable source of transportation
Responsibilities :
- Coordinating project schedules, resources, equipment and information
- Liaise with the client to identify and define requirements, scope and objectives
- Help prepare budgets and estimates
- Oversee project procurement management; including locating appropriate suppliers and researching purchase options
- Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise
- Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants
- Use tools to monitor working hours, plans and expenditures
- Issue all appropriate legal paperwork (e.g. contracts and terms of agreement) and negotiate changes to contracts with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports
- Ensure standards and requirements are met through conducting quality assurance tests
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS :
- A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering preferred, ideally a P. Eng. or a C.E.T.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven work experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role
- Industry contacts and experience an asset
- Experience in project management, from conception to delivery
- An ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules and step-by-step action plans
- Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
- Read and interpret drawings and specifications
- Have in-depth knowledge of building codes, local regulations, and municipal requirements
- Use Word, Excel, AutoCAD (or equivalent), MS Project (or equivalent), and good general computer skills
