Undercover Loss Prevention Officer – Organized Crime

Securiguard is seeking enthusiastic and experienced individuals to join our team as Asset Protection Security Guards. Join us in this elite role where your vigilance and dedication contribute to the overall safety and success of our retail partner.

The Day to Day :

As a Loss Prevention Security Guard at Securiguard, your role involves safeguarding the assets and minimizing losses for our retail client.

You will conduct routine surveillance, employing your keen observational skills to identify and prevent theft, fraud, or other security breaches.

Regularly patrolling the premises, you will interact with customers and employees to deter potential incidents while maintaining an elevated level of customer service.

Your role includes investigating suspicious activities, reviewing CCTV footage, and collaborating with law enforcement when necessary.

Crafting detailed incident reports. Your commitment to enforcing security protocols, de-escalating conflicts, and, when needed, making lawful arrests ensures a safe and secure environment for both staff and customers.

What you would bring :

• Valid BC Security Worker License
• Advance Security Training (AST) - (Required)
• Previous Security Experience - 2 years minimum (Required)
• Loss Prevention Experience- 1 year minimum (Required)
• Must be flexible to work in multiple stores / locations.
• Must be able to stand for an 8-hour period.
• Previous Use of Force training and arrest experience will be considered an asset.
• Ability to complete incident reports daily.
• Ability to conduct arrests in appropriate and sanctioned situations.
• Military / Police background / Law Enforcement background is an asset.
• Strong observational skills and situational awareness
• Excellent judgment and decision-making ability
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to arrest, recover and conduct mobile and static surveillance of persons, groups, vehicles, and addresses.
• Ability to work alone and as part of a team as operational needs dictate.

Pay Rate : $27-30.00 per hour.

Progressions are based on performance.
