WHAT THE POSITION ENTAILS :
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this position’s job responsibilities include :
- Troubleshoot AC / DC motors, controls, PLC, electrical drives, low / medium / high voltage systems.
- Service the electrical aspect of pumps, motors, cranes, and hydraulic / pneumatic systems.
- Receive instructions, prints or work orders, covering scheduled and emergency repairs, installation, and inspection work to be done.
- Maintain specified records of work performed, details of repairs, and materials usage on computerized maintenance management software (CMMS), work orders, logbooks, and checklists.
- Perform rounds and checks machinery condition using checklists or digital tools to identify abnormalities and ensure that machine functions are operating within the normal specifications.
- Operate material handling equipment such as cranes, tow motor operation including rigging.
- Demonstrate basic computer skills.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE :
Certificate of Qualification (Industrial Electrician - A or Construction Electrician - A) as recognized by Skilled Trades Ontario is required.
