Position Overview

Reporting to the Client Services Manager Rehabilitation Services, the Speech Language Pathologist will operate with a high degree of independence as a member of a multidisciplinary regional rehabilitation team.

The incumbent will participate in the planning, delivery and evaluation of rehabilitation services, using a client centered, goal orientated approach for children and / or adult populations.

Experience

Previous experience in the field of Speech-Language Pathology preferred

Education (Degree / Diploma / Certificate)

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited post-secondary institution
  • Active registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Manitoba
  • Eligibility for membership in Speech-Language and Audiology Canada

Qualifications and Skills

  • Skilled ability in the assessment, identification, and treatment of clients of varying ages and with diverse diagnoses
  • Strong organizational, decision-making, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent English language proficiency, both written and verbal

Physical Requirements

  • Must be in good physical and mental health and be able to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time without resting.
  • Must be able to work under stress and time constraints.
